25 special hire taxis and 6 AMBULANCE drivers provide emergency transport from health centers to hospitals.

Over 1800 women have used a mama rescue transport voucher from home to health center. This means they delivered with a skilled midwife, and with guaranteed emergency transport to a hospital if necessary.
WE'VE TRAINED 49 BODA BODA DRIVERS TO USE THE SYSTEM FOR TAKING MOTHERS TO HEALTH CENTERS WHEN THEY GO INTO LABOR. THEIR ENTHUSIASM HAS BEEN EXCITING TO WATCH, AND every day, between 5 and 10 women are using the system to get to the health center. OVER 50 WOMEN Have used the boda service so far.
